Start Strength Training With a Plan

Six-Week Ascent is a coached introduction to strength training for people who want to get stronger but aren’t sure where to start. Train up to three times per week while you learn the movements, meet the coaches, and get comfortable training at Ascent.

Want to Get Stronger, but Not Sure Where to Start?

You don’t need to already know your way around a gym to begin. Six-Week Ascent gives you a structured place to start, with coaching, a plan, and a group to train alongside.

You want to strength train, but you’re not sure what to do once you walk into the gym.

You’ve tried exercising on your own, but consistency or knowing how to progress has been difficult.

You’d like coaching, but one-on-one personal training feels like more than you need right now.

You want a gym where you can start at your level without feeling like you need to get fit first.

Getting Started Shouldn’t Be the Hardest Part

Strength training can be remarkably simple once you have a place to begin. The harder part is often walking into a gym without knowing which exercises to choose, how much weight to use, whether you’re doing them correctly, or how to build from one workout to the next.

Six-Week Ascent is designed to remove that guesswork. Instead of expecting you to figure out the gym before you belong in it, we give you a structured starting point where you can learn the movements, build strength gradually, and become more comfortable training alongside other people.

Book Your Baseline Assessment

Six Weeks With a Purpose

We start by learning where you are, then use six weeks of coached training to help you build strength, confidence, and familiarity with the gym.

01

Start With a Baseline

Meet with a coach to establish your starting point, learn what may need modification, and prepare for your first class.

02

Train With Coaching

Join up to three coached classes each week, with exercises and loads adjusted to your current ability.

03

Build From There

Use what you’ve learned to keep getting stronger, whether that means continuing with Performance Lab or choosing another way to train at Ascent.

What Your Six Weeks Include

Six-Week Ascent gives you six weeks of coached Performance Lab training, with the option to attend up to three classes each week. You’ll follow the same training framework as the rest of the group, while your coach adjusts movements, loads, and progressions to fit your current ability.

Before your first class, you’ll complete a Baseline Assessment with an Ascent coach. We’ll introduce key movements, establish useful starting points, talk through any limitations or concerns, and make sure you know what to expect when you walk into class.

Over the six weeks, the goal isn’t to master everything or hit arbitrary fitness benchmarks. It’s to become more capable and comfortable: learning how to squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, and train your trunk; understanding how to choose an appropriate load; and building enough familiarity that the gym starts to feel like a place you know how to use.

The full six-week program is $149 and includes up to three coached classes per week. If you decide Performance Lab is a good fit afterward, you can continue into an ongoing Ascent membership.

Your First Step Is the Baseline Assessment

Before joining your first class, you’ll meet with an Ascent coach so we can learn where you’re starting and help you walk into training prepared.

RECOMMENDED NEXT STEP

Six-Week Ascent Baseline Assessment

We’ll walk through key movements, discuss relevant limitations or training experience, and establish starting points so your coaches can meet you at your level from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need strength-training experience to join?
+
No. Six-Week Ascent is designed to give you a comfortable starting point. Your Baseline Assessment helps us understand your experience and starting level before you join your first class.
What if I can’t do some of the exercises?
+
That’s completely fine. Your coach can adjust movements, loads, and progressions to match what you can do now while helping you build toward more over time.
What happens after the six weeks?
+
If you enjoy training with us, you can continue in Performance Lab with an ongoing Ascent membership. There’s no requirement to continue—the six weeks are also a chance to find out whether our approach to group training is right for you.
